another Saturday..with misty rain..again

Loads to do..a holiday in France coming up..but news of a train strike there on Tuesday..perhaps a day in Paris is a bonus not to be missed!

Harvest Festival

Enjoyed the harvest hymns, but it is strange when ALL the goods are in tins/bottles: no sign of fresh food. The Guide's flower baskets were lovely, though!

October the first: too late?

Once read a book called "Octobr the first is too late": can't remember anything about it , except the title has stuck, for years. Well, I have decided, it is NOT too late: today is the day I am going to :restart blogging attempts, get my tax in, tidy paper, do some sewing: missing Embroiderers' Guild as DH not feeling well, so don't want to desert him.
He and my brother completed a 150 mile tandem ride from Holyrood Palace to Holy Rood Church, Swinton, just over 2 weeks ago: they were stars nsd you can read about it on Dennis' blog!

Family blogs!

Well, it is the 4th March already: still no sewing done..but lots of other things happening. How come I only just realised my brother has a (cycling) blog still, and I have never read it? My sister has a knitting blog and she has not written anything for ages (holding back the flood waters?) and now I must see if "little sis" has a blog. Perhaps she spends more time updating her website at work!

Can't believe it is 26 Feb already: at least there is a weekend to go till the end of Feb: lots to do, just hope there is enough time!
